Cookies Policy
Learn how we use cookies to improve your experience on the site and find out how you can manage or withdraw your consent at any time.
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, how mtransfers uses them on www.mtransfers.pt (and related booking pages), and how you can control your preferences. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Your consent choices apply to the domain www.mtransfers.pt. You can change or withdraw consent at any time using the button below (this reopens the CookieYes notice).
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, local/session storage and scripts that store or read identifiers in your browser.
Cookies may be:
- First-party — set by mtransfers; or third-party — set by providers such as Google or Meta;
- Session — deleted when you close the browser; or persistent — stored until they expire or you delete them;
- Grouped by purpose (necessary, functional, analytics, advertising), as shown in our consent banner and the table below.
Cookies do not damage your device. Blocking some of them may limit site features (for example remembering preferences or loading map tools).
2. Why we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Make the website and booking tools work securely and reliably;
- Remember your consent choices and certain preferences;
- Understand how visitors use the site and booking funnel (with consent, where required);
- Measure and improve marketing effectiveness (with consent, where required);
- Support map and location features used in booking (Google Maps Platform), where those tools rely on cookies or similar storage.
Non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) are not set or activated until you accept the relevant categories in the CookieYes banner, except where a different lawful basis applies and is disclosed. We load analytics and advertising scripts subject to your choices and, for Google tags, with Consent Mode defaults set to denied until consent is updated.
3. Categories of cookies we use
- Necessary (essential) — required for core functions such as security, load balancing, storing your cookie consent (CookieYes), and basic site operation. These do not require consent under applicable ePrivacy rules, but you can still block them in your browser (which may break the site).
- Functional — remember choices that improve usability (for example language or UI preferences). Used where configured; may require consent depending on the cookie.
- Analytics — help us measure traffic, page performance and booking-funnel behaviour (for example Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager). These may process identifiers such as a truncated IP address, device/browser data and usage events. They are activated only with your analytics consent.
- Advertising / marketing — used to measure campaigns and, where enabled, deliver or optimise ads (for example Meta Pixel). Server-side Meta Conversions API events related to bookings or leads are likewise gated on marketing consent. Activated only with your advertising/marketing consent.
Cookies are not used to store payment card numbers. Some technologies may process personal data (for example IP address or advertising identifiers). How that data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Which cookies do we use?
The live inventory below is maintained by CookieYes. It lists cookies detected on this website, their provider, purpose and duration. The list may update as we add or remove tools.
5. Third-party cookies and tools
Depending on your consent and which pages you visit, third parties may set cookies or receive data, including:
- Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, Maps Platform) — analytics measurement and map/location features used in booking. See the Google Privacy Policy and Google cookie technologies pages.
- Meta (Pixel / related advertising technologies) — marketing measurement when you have granted marketing/advertising consent. See the Meta Privacy Policy.
- CookieYes — consent management (necessary to store and honour your choices).
These providers may process data outside the EEA under their own terms and safeguards. Further detail is in the Privacy Policy sections on analytics, Google Maps Platform and international transfers.
6. How to manage your consent
The easiest way to control cookies on this site is through CookieYes:
- Use the consent banner when you first visit; or
- Click Manage Consent below at any time to reopen the notice, change categories, or withdraw consent.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. After you withdraw analytics or marketing consent, related tags should stop collecting for new visits according to your updated choice; you may also clear existing cookies via your browser.
7. Browser controls
Most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies. If you delete all cookies, stored preferences (including consent) may be lost and some features may stop working. Guidance for common browsers:
For more general information, see aboutcookies.org.
